dancehealthier seminar & there’s no red light in sight!

Well, today marked dancehealthier’s very first dance & health seminar. For two years now I, the storyteller, have been writing each and every week (well almost) and recently it dawned on me that I was ready for the next step in my plan.  So I began another project – my husband always chuckles at me (in a good kind of way) when I have my notebook and pen in hand at the table.  He then asks (kindly), “What are you working on now?”  For this project, I just had to to say the dancehealthier seminar!  He has heard me talk about this a lot, so there was no need for questions in this case!  It’s something that I have been wanting to do for a long time.   Let’s face it.  Educating over the internet is great, but educating in person is something else.  So I began my lesson plan, and before I knew it I was off to St. Louis, thanks to the fabulous Alexandra Ballet School!

Upon my arrival, I was fortunate to have many helpful hands in aiding my classroom        set-up.  A dance classroom that is (that’s a neat thing to write).  At 3:15 sharp, the dancers came in!  But this time instead of the dancers taking their place at the barre, they found a comfy spot on the floor (yes the dance floor), & put on their thinking caps in a different way!  The kids were awesome.  I hope they learned something from all of this.  I must admit, I wish I had had a seminar like this when I was in school.  But I guess that’s why I’m doing it! Until next time, I’m signing off.  Next up, dancehealthier seminar at Kansas City Ballet School!  At least I can’t wait!!
